Research: Participant Recruting, User Research

AT A
GLANCE

We recently teamed up with Autodesk to explore some exciting possibilities for their AutoCAD software. Known for its powerful 2D and 3D design capabilities, AutoCAD is a staple for designers and engineers. Autodesk wanted to see how AI could automate some of the more tedious tasks in AutoCAD, making the software even more valuable for its users.

Our team got to work recruiting participants and diving into user research. We focused on understanding the common-use cases of staple features, where AI could make the biggest impact in automating and supporting tedious tasks, and how to improve workflows for AutoCAD’s next release.

While we can't share insights publicly, the research identified key use cases that should be prioritized for AutoCAD’s next update, setting a clear path forward for the Autodesk team. These included refinement opportunities of current workflows and which areas in the existing system AI capabilities should be implemented to add additional value to the user base. These insights will guide Autodesk’s technical direction, paving the way for smarter, AI-driven features in AutoCAD.
